Mozert, Zoe
Zoe Mozert painted hundreds of images for magazine covers and advertisements prior to signing an exclusive contract with Brown & Bigelow in 1941. Mozert was her own best model – she often posed for her own paintings. The nudes she created for Brown & Bigelow became so popular that many customers had standing orders for calendars every time a new one was released. The beauty and innocence of Mozert’s work made her the most successful and publicly known female calendar pin-up artist.
