Parrish, Maxfield
Maxfield Parrish is a highly recognized name in American art history. He became famous for his unique style and deep, rich colors, particularly his blue tones. Parrish painted a series of landscape scenes for Brown & Bigelow in 1934. They were so well received that he continued painting them for three decades. Parrish’s work was appreciated immensely during his own lifetime. His meticulous and time-consuming technique gave his landscapes a three-dimensional quality that has never been imitated. His art has appeared in books, magazines, posters, advertisements, calendars and more.
